Parking at IVC
Student Parking Permit fees are as follows:
- Annual: $80
- Semester: $40
- Summer: $25
- Annual: $40
- Semester: $20
- Summer: $10
- California College Promise Grant (formerly Board of Governors Waivers) are still available at a discounted rate.
Parking on campus is by permit only in designated spaces at all times. A valid student permit or daily permit is required to park in student parking spaces. A valid staff permit is required to park in staff parking spaces. Students are reminded not to park in spaces marked “STAFF.” Students enrolled in online or distance learning courses are still required to display a valid parking permit while visiting the campus for exams or facility use. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to park legally.
While time-restricted (green curbed) parking spaces do not require a permit, vehicles parked there are subject to the time limitation of the marked space.
Disabled parking spaces are available in each lot. A valid parking permit is required along with a California Disabled Person Parking Placard. Those with valid parking permits and placards can park in student, staff and disabled parking spaces.
How to Buy a Permit
Semester and annual parking permits are only available for purchase through MySite. Select the Parking Permit tab on the left-hand navigation menu. Permits will be mailed directly to the address provided during the order process. Remember to print the temporary parking permit offered at the end of the purchase process and place it on your dashboard until your permit is delivered. Be sure to read the entire flyer that comes with the permit and to properly remove the permit from the flyer. Annual permits are only available during the fall semester.

Daily Parking Permits
Daily parking permits are $5. Dispensers are near the entrances to lots 2, 5, 8 and 10, and the Performing Arts Center. These permits are valid in student parking only at IVC. Click here for a map of permit dispensers at IVC.
If you encounter a mechanical problem with one of the dispensers, report it to Campus Police at 949-451-5234 or the campus operator at 949-451-5100. It is your responsibility to obtain a valid parking permit and park legally.
Parking permits must be displayed in the lower corner of the driver's side windshield. These static cling permits do not use adhesive and can be removed and reapplied. These permits do not require permit hangers.
Semester and annual student and staff permits are valid at IVC, ATEP and Saddleback College in the appropriate parking spaces for the type of permit. Daily permits are only valid for the campus where they were purchased.
Motorcycle parking permits must be displayed on the left front fork. These permits are only valid in the posted parking areas available in lots 2, 8 and 10.
Students are eligible for a parking permit refund for two reasons:
- Their class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment and the student is not enrolled in any other classes on campus during the semester; or
- The student officially withdraws from all of their on-campus classes prior to the refund-eligible drop deadline.
In both instances, the student parking decal must be turned in to the Campus Police Department in order to receive a refund. Return the parking decal to the campus it was purchased from (either Irvine Valley College or Saddleback College) within the first four weeks of a regular term, or within the first two weeks of an eight-week term if the student only enrolled in an eight-week term within a regular term or summer session.
Lost or Stolen Permits
You are responsible for your parking permit. If you lose your permit you will need to buy a new one. If your permit has been stolen, you must report it to Campus Police. A stolen permit may be replaced if the request is accompanied with a police report from the jurisdiction in which the theft occurred. .
Parking citations are issued for violations of the district's Traffic and Parking Regulations under the authority of the California Vehicle Code, section 21113(a). All other California Vehicle Code (CVC) sections are enforced on campus. Penalties range from $38 to $250, depending on the type of violation. Below is a brief list of violations and fine amounts. The SOCCCD Board of Trustees determines the cost of parking permits. Permit prices are subject to change upon Board of Trustee approval or changes in California Education Code.
