April 24 - April 30, 2011

  • ¬†28, Petty Theft. A student contacted IVC Campus Police to report his stolen bicycle. According to the victim, his bike was locked up in the bicycle rack between the BSTIC Building and A-300. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.
  • April 28, Disruptive Behavior. IVC Campus Police was informed that there was a verbal dispute between an instructor and a student. The student did not appear to be an immediate threat to the instructor. The student was assisted by the Acting Chair of Biology. Report taken.
  • April 26, Vandalism. A vendor parked his vehicle to respond to BSTIC Building. When he returned to his vehicle, he saw that someone had damaged his vehicle with an unknown type of sharp object. Possibly a key. The vendor stated that he may know the suspect's identity. Earlier he had an exchange of words with a student over a parking situation.
  • April 25, Petty Theft. A student reported to IVC Campus Police that she was in the restroom in BSTIC located on the first floor. She placed her books and iphone on a metal shelf. When she exited the stall, she discovered that the iphone was missing. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 17 - April 23, 2011

  • April 19, Attempted Burglary. A vandalism or an attempted vehicle burglary occurred in Lot #5. The victim's vehicle lock had been damaged by what appeared to be a tool similar to a flat bladed screw driver. The key slot was punched out and inoperable. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.
  • April 18, Medical Aid. A school employee was being seen at the Health Services Center for slurred speech and high blood pressure. OCFA Paramedics were notified and responded. The patient was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
  • April 18, Medical Aid. A student fainted in Room A-308. OCFA Paramedics were notified and responded. Paramedics checked out the patient and determined that she would be fine. No further action was taken.

April 10 - April 16, 2011

  • April 13, Assault and Battery. A student was a victim of assault and battery during a class break in Building A-200. The victim stated that he did not wish to forward this incident to the District Attorney for filing charges. Report taken for documentation only.
  • April 13, Non-Traffic Collision, College. A hit and run occurred in Lot #10. A witness stated she saw a vehicle that was backing up hit a legally parked vehicle. The suspect stepped out of her vehicle and looked at the damage and left the scene. Report taken.
  • April 13, Medical Aid. A distraught student was assisted by the Health Center Nurse for mental issues. The patient was voluntarily transpoted to a nearby hospital for help. Report taken.
  • April 11, Petty Theft. A student while buying coffee left his wallet on a coffee cart. He later realized that he forgot his wallet. He returned to the coffee cart to find his wallet missing. None of the employees that were present saw his wallet. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 3 - 9, 2011

  • April 7, Vandalism. It was observed by Campus Police that the glass covering the Parking Permit Vending Machine was scratched with some type of sharp object. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.
  • April 5, Petty Theft. A student returned to his vehicle to find that his parking permit was stolen. The vehicle has zipper windows allowing easy access to the interior. The zipper was left down by the driver. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.
  • April 5, Vandalism. It was reported that the faucets in the men's restroom located on the first floor of the Library were broken off. The faucets were complete and functioning the day before according to a custodian. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.
  • April 5, Petty Theft. A student returned to his vehicle to find that his parking permit was stolen. The vehicle car doors were locked. The wind wing on the driver's side was left partially open. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.
  • April 5, Vandalism. A student returned to her vehicle to find that it had been damaged. It appeared to be damaged with an unknown type of sharp object possibly a key. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

March 27 - April 2, 2011

  • ‚ÄčApril 1, Medical Aid. A student fainted in Room B363. The Health Center Nurse responded. The patient was treated by the nurse in the Health Center. Report taken.
  • March 31, Medical Aid. A female was reported having a panic attack in a vehicle in Lot #4. OCFA Paramedics were notified and responded. The patient refused paramedic treatment. Later the patient was voluntarily transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment. Report taken.
  • March 30, Petty Theft. A student reported that her parking permit was stolen from her vehicle. She had locked all the car doors. The driver's window was partially down. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.
  • March 28, Possession of a Fictitious Identification Card. A student was in possession of two identification cards at the Bursar's Office. The student voluntarily gave the fictitious card to a Campus Police Officer. The student was issued a citation and the card was placed in Evidence. The District Attorney has been asked to review the case. Report taken.
