January 31 – February 6, 2010   

  • February 2, Grand Theft, Lot 1. Victim stated that he parked and locked his vehicle in Lot 1. When he returned to his vehicle, he discovered that an unknown person had removed the catalytic converter. Report taken.
  • February 2, Traffic Stop and Arrest, Jeffrey/Barranca. Campus police observed a motorist commit two traffic violations. After making a traffic stop, the officer noted the smell of marijuana. Following an interview, the traffic violator admitted possession of marijuana. The violator was cited and released. Report taken.
  • February 2, Petty Theft, Kaplan. Victim (an academic manager) said she left a portable DVD player and two DVDs on top of her classroom desk and left for the day. When she returned to her desk the next day, the items were missing. Report taken.
  • February 3, Medical Aid, ATEP Lansdowne Sidewalk. Victim stated that while stepping off sidewalk at curb in front of the ATEP facility, she twisted her ankle. Paramedics were called and examined the person who was later transported to a hospital for further treatment. Report taken.
  • February 5, Misdemeanor Hit and Run, Lot 5. Reporting person stated that he discovered a tree, irrigation box, and sprinkler damaged on a parking lot median. Campus police determined that an unknown person caused an unknown vehicle, to jump the curb and strike the damaged property. The driver then left the area without reporting the incident. Report taken.
  • February 5, Medical Aid, A305. Campus police responded to a call regarding a person having a seizure. Paramedics responded and rendered first aid. The person was later transported to a hospital for further treatment. Report taken.
